FAQ’s

Do I Need A Root Canal?

If your tooth is abscessed or infection has extended into the nerve, then yes, a root canal is necessary. Simply covering the tooth up with a crown or filling will seal in decay, causing recurrent abscesses. An antibiotic may be prescribed to reduce bacterial levels prior to treatment.

What Is Periodontal Therapy?

Periodontal therapy and deep cleanings are one and the same. They are a series of therapeutic cleanings that eliminate bacteria under the gums, which lead to bone loss. When left untreated, gum disease will ultimately cause complete tooth loss.

Can I Ask For Sedation?

Definitely. We offer nitrous oxide sedation to our patients upon request. It can be used during everything from a cleaning to an extraction.

What Are Dental Lasers Used For?

Lasers are used to treat gum disease and eliminate infections or viruses, such as cold sores and ulcers. The process takes only a few seconds and is relatively painless.

Am I Too Old For Braces?

We’ve never had a patient be too old for braces! In fact, orthodontic therapy is a great way to manage conditions like tooth wear, TMJ disorders and gum disease.

Do You Offer Same Day Dentistry?

Yes. Our on site dental lab allows us to provide quality care and same day services to most patients.

How Much Do Dental Implants Cost?

Dental implants are a slightly bigger investment in the early stages of therapy, but over the course of time they are more cost effective than other types of treatments since they last an entire lifetime.

How Often Should I Have My Teeth Cleaned?

Our healthy patients should generally have a cleaning at least every 6 months, or twice each year. These visits allow us to remove disease-causing tartar buildup and screen for conditions that are of a concern.
